For projects with available detailed requirements, schedules, and project path Focus offers Fixed Budget Business Model with fixed cost and delivery date.
This model is preferred by clients who have a clear project scope available with them at the onset of the project, along with the detailed Software Requirements Specifications (SRS). This model is suitable for small or mid size projects.

We analyze our client's requirements thoroughly in order to prevent further changes to the software requirements specification and develop an exact plan at a very detailed level.
Nevertheless, minor changes to the specification can be tolerated and implemented without any impact on the initial budget.

During the project implementation phase, customers will always have a visibility about the development activity progression using a regular project reporting and a specific project management tool which will be held up-to-date by FOCUS team.

At the end of the validation Phase, the final reception is marked. It puts a term to the project. However, if the contract envisages a guarantee period, modifications or complaints after the final reception will be processed.

We make sure that client's intellectual property, proprietary software and new development specifications are safe in our hands. At the completion of the project, the client can retain full ownership of all intellectual property rights and software code.

The cost or payment depends on the project size. The tasks specified in SRS are divided into modules known as milestones. The payment is made as per milestone and the time required to complete each milestone. Milestones-based payment schedules reinforce progress monitoring. It helps justify payment based on achievable milestone and visible progress.

Yet, this model meets both customer's and developer's expectations in the narrow variety of cases. This model proves itself when the subcontractor implements fully predictable portions of code based on detailed specifications that need to be paid for at a fixed and fair basis.

On the contrary, in case of projects hard to predict in terms of time and creative effort and where the specifications needs to be detailed and development process needs control and improvement upon each iteration, we should look for another business model. Since almost every particular project requires an individual approach, we recommend a Nearshore platform Business Model or Time & Material Business Model
